Sustainability remains a top agenda item for boards today. As leaders from across the world convene in Baku, Azerbaijan for the next UN Climate Change Conference COP 29 to discuss and debate on the collective actions needed to reverse the global crisis of climate change and achieve the desirable sustainable development goals (SDGs), it is clear that status quo is not a viable option. Boards of directors have a pivotal role to play as stewards of change and transformation. The INSEAD Corporate Governance Centre, in collaboration with INSEAD Directors Network and Egon Zehnder, is launching a new Webinar & Digital Dialogue series focusing on Sustainability in the Boardroom: From Challenge to Change where we will delve into the actionable steps boards can undertake to drive sustainable impact beyond mere compliance. Taking place on Thursday, 10 October, 1-2pm CEST, the kick-off session focused on “Beyond Compliance: Unleashing Board Potential for Sustainable Impact” will feature practical insights by Ashley Summerfield, Global Leader, CEO & Board Practice at Egon Zehnder who will discuss how boards can integrate sustainability initiatives and to drive transformation within their boards followed by a fireside chat with Roberto Marques, Former Executive Chairman and Group CEO of Natura & Co. who will share his journey in shaping the

sustainability agenda and the lessons learnt.
